Pedal power combines with walkability in Specialized's Tahoe Sport Shoes. The soles are stiff for excellent power transfer and protection while riding, and flexible at the toe for comfort when walking. Plus, the Tahoes feature Specialized's ergonomic Body Geometry footbeds, laces and top straps for fine-tuning the fit and feel, and a grippy Vibram rubber tread for traction when walking. These shoes also accept cleats for use with clipless pedals (sold separately).

I have about 100 miles of road riding in with these and am well pleased. There is lots of mesh, so they breathe well for warm weather use. The sole is stiff for pedaling efficiency and the outsole is Vibram for traction off the bike and long wear. I don't believe this is the most recent edition of the Tahoe Sport shoe, but I think this may be a nicer shoe than the current model. I ride trails, as well, and expect the shoes to perform equally well off road. They seem well suited for a variety of riding situations, with the possible exception of commuting in wet weather.
